West African Art Essay Example For Students
West African Art Essay At the point when W. E.B. Du Bois declared in his sublime work Souls of Black Folk, that the issue of the twentieth Century is the shading line . . . promptly he set out a social and logical worldview that in a split second perceived that the major racial issue in America was that current among Blacks and Whites. In any case, we are still, toward the finish of the twentieth Century, battling with the subject of what sort of popularity based society we are, or whether we will be a law based society by any means, frequently careless in regards to the way that the agreeable goals of Du Bois worldview is the most basic component in the inquiry. In this regard, what has not been completely gotten a handle on by the new extreme conservatism is the idea that social equity and human rights never were detached networks of significant worth inside the system of a bigger political system; that they, indeed, characterize the very idea of majority rule government itself. Vote based system isn't only the lawful structure of the Constitution, yet the genuine relations among individuals represented by it. Thus, the basic goal during the time spent Blacks looking for social equity has been to move from an elite thought of vote based system dependent on White strength to one more immaculate even than that imagined by the authors. At the point when America was first characterized, the authors discussed the issues associated with the character of majority rules system. In any case, the unchallenged and hidden the truth was that the definitive social structure and the viable citizenship of the country would be White and male, ladies having been prohibited by custom, most Blacks as slaves barred by law, and even alleged liberated Blacks not viewed as residents. Local Americans, obviously, not exclusively were barred, yet were in peril of eradication. From their situation as the legitimate residents, Whites had the option to raise foundations and to carry on in manners that implemented their ideas of social, political, and financial conduct. Unquestionably, gatherings, for example, the Irish or Jews were considered inside the hierarchy as socially not exactly the English, Germans, and French. Furthermore, by the mid twentieth century, the Chinese, who had been brought to the nation in the nineteenth century to take a shot at the railways, were lawfully avoided by the section of the Johnson-Reed Act of 1924 that influenced Japanese rejection. From that point forward, race relations have been characterized by the distraction with the genuine and emblematic clash among Black and White. Obviously, we can't think about race and shading in America as absolutes, for inside each gathering there is a characteristic variety of science in individuals who have been presented to the world. For example, for the reasons for keeping up social force, White individuals were made in America. This gathering would have the social variety of numerous European ethnic gatherings Irish, German, Slav, French, Spanish, Nordic, all subject to the ruling impacts of the English culture, political structure, and monetary force. Yet, to practice that power, they converged into a characterized Whiteness of status and conduct. Africans conceived in America were dealt with altogether as Blacks, hued, and Negroes. They not exclusively were socially African, they were Mandingo, Yoruba, Nuer, Ovinbundu, and so on., who came to have the enhancing of English, French, Dutch or other European societies through their involvement in imperialism. Along these lines, while social varieties exist inside the prevailing gathering of White just as Black, it is power that characterizes the racial delineation as happening in close to supreme terms. In other words, any Black individual, regardless of how rich, is liable to demonstrations of subjection dependent on race. The Black/White worldview is as yet a helpful method to discourse about race, where Blacks speak to the persecuted and Whites the prevailing gathering. All non-White gatherings have been mistreated to some degree by the prevailing society, not as in they were only despised by the White larger part (showing preference or racial separation), however that they were constrained into specific jobs by it. Where the standard (expressed or implicit) of the utilization of intensity depended on race, it was prejudice. Feagin and Sikes characterize bigotry as follows: Racism is racial separation supported by the force and assets to impact inconsistent results dependent on race. (Feagin and Sikes, Living with Racism, Beacon, 1994). The utilization of the intensity of the White larger part upon Blacks is a proportion of the receptiveness of society and a remark upon the idea of majority rule government. This force has been practiced in close to home acts, for example, fierce types of lynching in which Blacks were singed alive or hanged, and current types of lynching, for example, when Blacks have been pounded the life out of while in prison. (Southern Poverty Law Center, 1994 Report) Also, foundations have utilized their capacity to deny Blacks access to capital, frequently through their own stores in banks, to purchase houses, leasing, or guaranteeing their property. Other unfair occurrences incorporate Blacks being associated with taking product and freely embarrassed by being compelled to undress or perform other mortifying acts. At that point, increasingly complex demonstrations of scholarly bigotry have reliably scrutinized the psychological capacities of Blacks and, specifically, their insight, in books, for example, The Bell Curve: Intelligence and Class Structure in American Life, by Richard Herrenstein and Charles Murray. (New York: The Free Press/Macmillan, 1994). The Black/White Paradigm Becomes Multicultural The worldview of Black and White changed with current occasions that modified its utilization and importance. For instance, Asian migration to the United States came rapidly during the 1970s and 1980s with outcasts from the Korean War, and particularly after the Vietnam War. Indeed, even the proceeded with reign of the Communists in China invigorated the progression of migrants to these shores. For instance, in 1970 the U.S. Evaluation checked 1,438,544 Asians, yet by 1990, they had developed to five fold the number, 7,273,662. Moreover, Hispanics, baited by the monetary fascination of the United States, war in El Salvador and Nicaragua, and the nearness of Mexico, accompanied equivalent desert, with the end goal that since 1970, Hispanics expanded from 9,072,602 to 22,354,059! The outcome is that in states like California 45 percent of the occupants are as of now Black, Asian or Hispanic, and non-White kids are as of now a larger part in the educational system. The quick pace of social assorted variety is reflected in Census information for non-White populace development, which show that between 1980-1990, Blacks developed by .2 percent and Native Americans by .09 percent, however Asians developed by 1.1 percent and Hispanics by the most elevated pace of 1. 6 percent. Numerous approaching gatherings, for example, Hispanics and Asians have profited by the presence of a lawful system of rights contained in the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which restricts oppression various social gatherings, as one ensured class, in work, instruction, and different zones of society. Be that as it may, with the extension of gatherings and the rights they appreciate, a contention has created as some decipher this development of popular government as a danger to the interests of the predominant White greater part, particularly as financial rivalry increments. Multiculturalism Liberal sociologists, for example, Gunnar Myrdal, who composed what is viewed as an exemplary on race relations, An American Dilemma, during the 1940s, recommended that pluralism could overcome racial separation and subjection. Essentially, pluralism expected that a hypothetical equity among Blacks and Whites could be accomplished without genuine adjustment in the status of Whites, by the disposal of racial segregation and the act of pluralistic fairness. In addition to the fact that this was a bogus vision of racial elements, yet additionally it shielded Americans from the way that they rehearsed a harmful sort of Apartheid, and from the suggestions if the training halted. The way that each gathering has a social history that shapes its submit in the social request, regularly set apart by disparities of intensity, refutes the precept of pluralism. Student of history Dr. Arthur Schlesinger, in The Disuniting of America, composes of Hector St. John de Crevecour, an eighteenth Century Frenchman who had settled in the American provinces in 1759 in Orange County, New York, who posed the inquiry, What at that point, is this American? He responded to his own inquiry by saying: He is an American who, deserting him all his old preferences and habits, gets new ones from the new method of life he has grasped, the new government he complies, and the new position he holds. The American is a renewed person, who follows up on new standards.. ..Here people of all countries are dissolved into another race of men. E pluribus Unum!! This was the first hypothesis of the blend. Schlesinger, a pundit of multiculturalism, conceded that the United States has never satisfied Crevecours unique perfect of the mixture, yet he didn't concede the way that the system of solidarity gave by the English and their European cousins was kept up forcibly and mercilessness and was forced on a reluctant people, African slaves, however others too. In this manner, he wouldn't concede that America has never been joined into one perfect by unreservedly consenting gatherings. It was joined by the utilization of capacity to authorize the beliefs of the prevailing racial class upon Blacks and other subordinate gatherings in a circumstance of severe interior imperialism. In other words, E Pluribus Unum implied from many, one country, yet not one individuals!! Whiteness Today, there are numerous scholarly people Charles Taylor (Multiculturalism and the Politics of Recognition), Amy Gutman, Steven C. Rockefeller, Michael Walzer, and Susan Wolf who restrict multiculturalism, proposing that one should take a gander at culture from an individualized perspective as opposed to from a gathering point of view. (Taylor, 28) Nevertheless, the characters we have talked about were fabricated both independently and aggregately. So Whites and Blacks are not just people

Making of The Maltese Falcon essays
Creation of The Maltese Falcon papers The Maltese Falcon, a novel, was imagined and composed by Dashiell Hammett. John Huston clung near the first work when he composed the screenplay for the film. He remained consistent with its structure, sequence of occasions, characters, discourse, and settings. On May 22, 1941, Hal B. Wallis, an official maker at Warner Bros., sent the head throwing official an update. The update practically taught him to send Hustons screenplay to entertainer George Raft when it was finished. Pontoon read the screenplay two days after Huston completed it. Pontoon detested it and dismissed it. He disclosed to Jack L. Warner that The Maltese Falcon was not a significant picture and that he would not act in anything besides significant pictures (Richardson 37). This announcement wasnt totally outlandish. Huston was an untested executive and two other film adaptations of The Maltese Falcon had just shelled twice in the cinema world. Pontoon additionally had a terrible encounter when he had an impact in The Glass Key, which was another film dependent on a novel by Hammett. Unexpectedly, there is an amusing tale about how Warner Bros. acquired the rights for The Maltese Falcon from the thirty-six-year-old Dashiell Hammett. Jacob Wilks child, ten-year-old Max Wilk, jumped at the chance to peruse Black Mask magazine (free magazines were sent to the Wilk home with the expectation that Jacob would discover something he needed to transform into a film). One evening in 1929, Max Wilk plunked down to peruse THE MALTESE FALCON, Chapter 1. Max was snared and sped through the story until he was halted cold by perusing To be proceeded in our next issue (Sperber and Lax 149). Max recounted to his dad about the story and that he had to recognize what occurred. The following night, Jacob Wilk, a Warner Bros. official, told his child that hed called the Black Mask proofreader and requested the remainder of the story. However, The Maltese Falcon nearly didn't fall under the control of Warner Bros. Central briefl... <!

Types Of Dividends And Policies Of The Same In A Company - 275 Words
Types Of Dividends And Policies Of The Same In A Company (Other (Not Listed) Sample) Content: Dividend policiesNameInstitutionProfessorCourseDateQUESTION IDividend policies1. Dividend policy this is the strategy each company chooses and regulates how dividends are paid out, in what form and the time taken between dividend payouts. They are factors considered while a company is selecting a dividend payout policy. These factors include; The availability of lucrative investing opportunity- this leads to investing the money meant for dividend in the better deal,( Michaely Roberts, 2012).Taxation issues, the government charges taxes to the amount of profits paid to the shareholders as dividends. If the amount is too high, many companies chose alternative policies to the cash payment. They are three types of dividend policiesI. The first kind of policy can also be referred as the ideal policy. This is one of the most used policies especially in established companies. This policy is based on the idea of paying dividends regardless of the companys earnings or in come. These dividends are paid at regular intervals and always of the same measure. The principle of this payment is that the company pays the dividend even if it make a profit or loss. The policy is preferred by many businesses due to the confidence it gives to the shareholders or investors. This policy is also called steady policy, ( Michaely Roberts, 2012).II. The second policy is a policy base on the idea of ploughing back profit. This policy depends on the remainder amount of funds after the companys expenditure, and loans are deducted. The dividends are given the least priority. This policy is mostly found in small companies that intend to grow bigger, or a new company trying to establish itself in the market. This is because the major part of the profit is used in the development of the firm. This policy is also called residual policy, ( Michaely Roberts, 2012).III. The third option of dividend payout policy is one that applies a hybrid combination of the other two p olicies. This policy pays a fixed fraction of the total income of the company. Hence a lower income means a lower dividend payout. This policy main drawback is that it is affected by the immediate future inconsistencies and changes of companys earnings. The policy is called Constant policy, ( Michaely Roberts, 2012).QUESTION 2Saudi Airlines Catering (Saudi Airlines Catering Co) case studyShares analysis2. The Saudi Airlines Catering uses dividend stability policy too, which are paid quarterly. The companies dividends payouts have been relatively stable in the last four years. This is an indication of financial stability. The company uses account transfers as the method of dividends transfer. The company has a high free cash flow thats the reason can afford to pay dividends in the form of cash. The company pays low dividends due to the government policy of high taxation of dividends other than that of long-term capital gains.QUESTION 3Dividend payout ratio analysis of Saudi Airlines Catering, (Saudi Airlines Catering Co.)Analysis using the attached power point presentationDividend payout fraction or ratio is a means of obtaining of the proportion of a company's earning with expenses excluded that is paid as divided to shareholders and investor in dividend payouts. The importance of this ratio is approximation or estimation of companys stability in dividends payouts, hence satisfying and maintaining its investors. The constancy of the ratio is the most crucial factor of the ratio but not either of the two extremes. Since potential shareholders are interested in Saudi Airlines Catering constant, reliable flow and payment of dividends regularly, the dividend payout ratio outline is crucial. If the mode of the ratio is consistent, it is usually better for the company than any of the two extremes.Since it is the company responsibility to put out there the dividends and their growth especially in their ratios for a single fiscal period or a short term this one peak is not very significant. The potential shareholders are majorly interested in constancy and consistency. Taking the example of Saudi Airlines Catering, the potential shareholder or investors can be tricked to presume since the company that has a payout ratio of for instance 20 percent for the last four years will continue giving 20 percent of its income and profits to the investors. This assumption, if ever used should be in well-established older companies. On the same note, a company that has deteriorating dividend-payouts over time ratios is a turn off to interested capitalists and also potential shareholders. For instance,if the company's ratio falls a single percentage per each year for the next ten years. This is a red flag on the companys ability to pay dividends consistently and regularly. This is a proof of poor management or administration of operations. This also shuns all the investors and potential shareholders off. Even the present shareholders may opt to sell off the ir shares to avoid further depreciation in value.Generally, the older well established and stable companies usually possess or are likely to have higher Dividend payout ratio than the younger entry companies. This is due to the inconsistency and the irregular changes in dividends in the first several years of operationsPayout Ratios FormulaThe dividend payout ratio is calculated asTotal Annual Dividends in every Share / Diluted income in every ShareDilute Earnings in every share are means of estimating profits they are calculated using the formulae (Gill Biger Tibrewal, (2010).(total earnings chosen dividend payments)(Weighted mean of shares outstanding + diluted shares)Another trait of Saudi Airlines Catering, (Saudi Airlines Catering Co) that can be analyzed is the stock value. This can be done by numerous approaches but the most commonly used are theThe Discounted dividend formulaeThe worth of any monetary entity is equivalent to the current worth of future flows of funds provi ded by the asset or the financial entity. When a shareholder purchases shares or stock, he or she does so with high expectations to receive payouts in cash, eventually, after selling their investment in the later and to gain profit from the deal, (Lin et al.et 2003). Moreover, the cost of dividends any investor or shareholder receives is determined by the dividends the next shareholder anticipates to get as income, and so on for the different batches of investors. Thus, the stock's value ultimately is derived from the dividend the company project it will pay in cash and the exceptions rate which was used to generate the value of the stock at the moment and the actual value of those dividends.Accounting for equity with non-constant growthFor many companies to assume that it increases throughout with time is not reasonable, hence estimating the worth and value of these companies becomes a bit complex. The ways around this is predicting the short period of steady growth over that a p articular time span, and try to obtain the actual value of dividend in the future. From this value, we can work backward to achieve the steady or constant long period growth which helps in the estimation of the growth rate the company is expected to take. The hill climbing task here is mathematically obtaining the estimates of short-term growth rates. In these formulae, they take into consideration that after a company has run for some time, it gets to where the growth rate is constant.QUESTION 4Arab National Bank case study1. The company uses Constant dividend policy; in the policy, the annual income is divided quarterly hence in each three months period equal amounts of dividends are paid out. This gives the shareholders certainty and reduces the fluctuations of the dividends. This type of policy also depends on payouts to the shareholders hence building shareholders confidence. This kind of dividend payment policy is preferred by financially stable companies, which want to mai ntain their good trading name in the market. The constant system of dividend payout, besides using the percentage of total earning to calculate dividends payouts, it can also use a constant amount payable per share and the constant amount payable per share plus the surplus. The company should have free cash flow hence the...

Basic Parts of Computer Essay In fact, many people erroneously look at a computer and call it a CAP] or a hard drive, when in fact these are just two parts of a computer. When these individual components are connected together they create a complete and working device with an all encompassing name of computer. As a computer user it is important that you have a basic understanding of the core components that make up your computer. This knowledge will prove invaluable it you decide to upgrade your computer or if a piece of hardware breaks and you need to purchase a replacement. The purpose to this is to discuss the basic pieces in every imputer and their function. HISTORY OVA COMPUTER The computer as we know it today had its beginning with a 19th century English mathematics professor name Charles Babbage He designed the Analytical Engine and it was this design that the basic framework of the computers of today are based on. Generally speaking, computers can be classified into three generations. Each generation lasted for a certain period of time, and each gave us either a new and improved computer or an improvement to the existing computer. First generation: 1937 1946 In 1937 the first electronic digital computer was built by Dry. John V. Donations and Clifford Berry. It was called the Donations-Berry Computer (BBC). In 1943 an electronic computer name the Colossus was built for the military. Other developments continued until in 1946 the first general- purpose digital computer, the Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer (MANIAC) was built. It is said that this computer weighed 30 tons, and had 18,000 vacuum tubes which was used for processing. When this computer was turned on for the first time lights dim in sections of Philadelphia. Computers of this generation could only perform single task. And they had no operating system. Second generation: 1947 1962 This generation of computers used transistors instead vacuum tubes which were more reliable, In 1951 the first computer for commercial use was introduced to the public: the universal Automatic Computer (UNIVAC l), In 1953 the International Business Machine (MOM) 650 and 700 series computers made their mark in the computer world. During this generation of computers over 100 computer programming languages were developed, computers had memory and operating systems. Storage media such as tape and disk were in use also were printers for output. Third generation: 963 present The invention of integrated circuit brought us the third generation Of computers. With this invention computers became smaller, more powerful more reliable and they are able to run many different programs at the same time. Nailing Microsoft Disk Operating System (MS-Dos) was born and in 1981 IBM introduced the personal computer (EPIC for home and office use. Three years later Apple gave us the Macintosh computer With its icon driven interface and the ass gave us Windows operating system. As a result of the various improvements to the development of the computer we have seen the computer Ewing used in all areas of life. It is a very useful tool that will continue to experience new development as time passes. The Outside of your Computer When you look at your computer what you are seeing is actually the computer case. Inside the case are all of the individual components that when connected together create your computer. On the outside of the case you will see various external ports that you can plug devices into as well as the ability to access your optical devices such as your CD and DVD drives, Front of a Dell Inspiring Desktop Back of a Dell Inspiring Desktop On the front f the computer you will commonly find a CD or DVD drive that can be opened by pressing a small button near the door of the drive. This will eject the drive tray where you can place a CD or DVD When you press the button again, the tray will slide back into your computer so that you can access it from within your operating system. On the front of the case, you will also typically find LIST ports and media readers. A LIST port is a small opening on the front of your computer that allows you to plug a JIBS device or cable into it. You can usually determine if a port on your computer is LIST as it will have the logo next to it. Common devices that you would plug into USB ports are pod and pad* flash drives, and external hard drives. The other common ports that you can find are for camera memory media. These media readers allow you to remove the memory card from your camera and insert it into the computer so you can access the images stored on it. On the back Of the case are connectors that are typically only used when you assemble your computer for the first time. These connectors allow you to connect external devices such as your printer, monitor, mouse, keyboard, and speakers. The back connections will also include an Ethernet port that will allow oh to connect your computer to your network. Last, but not least, there will also be more USB ports available in the event that you need more USB connections than are available on the front of your computer. The Inside tryout Computer Now that you know how to connect your various external components to your computer case, lets take a look at the inside of a computer as this is where the magic really happens. To open your case, you will need to typically unscrew a side panel or press a button on the bottom of the computer to open the computer like a clamshell Once you can see inside a computer, you will see arioso individual components connected via cables or plugged directly into a large board attached to the side of the case. This board is the motherboard and is used to connect all the individual devices inside your case into a single computer. These individual devices and the motherboard they plug into can be seen in the image below. As you can see from the image above, there are various components all connected to each Other. Every device must be connected to the power supply unit , which provides electricity to various components. The add-on cards, each performing their own function, are inserted to the motherboard so that they can ammunition with it. When all of these components are properly connected to each other, they can then communicate with each other and the computer will operate properly, In the next section we will discuss each individual component and what function they serve. The individual parts of your computer As already stated, a computer is nothing more than various individual hardware components connected to each through cables and the motherboard. These devices are then given electricity by the power supply unit 50 that they can function. In this section we will discuss the individual components and the unction that each performs, * Computer Case The computer case, also called a chassis, houses and protects other core parts of the computer Computer cases come in different sizes and shapes in order to accommodate the various environments that they will be stored in. These shapes * Tower A tower case is vertical and usually sits on the floor. A tower case comes in a mini, mid, and full size, with the larger sizes being able to hold more components. Desktop A horizontal case that is designed to rest on a shelf or sit on your desk with the monitor on top of it. * Rockbound- Rockbound cases re horizontal and are typically used for servers. These servers will then mount in a rack so that there are stacks of computers in one computer rack. Gull Tower case Rockbound Case Computer cases also need to support the largest component that resides inside it, which is typically the motherboard. The motherboard can come in many diff erent shapes and sizes, called form factors, and the specifications on a computer case will state which form factors can fit inside it. Origanum Vulgare EssayOptical Drive Optical disk drive speed is measured differently than HAD speed, While HAD speed is measured in the number of Rims, optical drive speed is measured by the maximum rate at which data can be read from the disk. Poor each technology (CD, DVD, Blue-Ray) there is an industry-wide standard data rate that serves as a encroach by which drive speeds are measured, The speed listed is put in terms of multiples of that base speed. For example, the base speed for Blue-Ray technology is 6. 74 megabytes per second. Therefore, a drive rated at Sax can read data at a maximum rate of 52 x 6. 4 = 350. 48 megabytes per second. * Cooling Devices As computer runs, it generates a lot of heat. One or more cooling devices are part Of any modern computer in order to keep the machine from overheating. The bono types of cooling devices that are in almost every modern computer are heat sinks and cooling fans. Heat sinks are small metal Structures that conduct eat well. They function by absorbing the heat produced by a component and efficiently releasing it into the air, or a liquid in certain special situations, similarly to how the radiator in your car works. Cooling fans work by removing warm air from components or heat sinks and pulling in cool air to replace it. Fans are available in a variety of sizes that determine how much air they can move within your case. When adding a fan, it is important to ensure that you purchase a fan that is compatible with your motherboard, since different fans have different kinds to power connectors. CPU Heat Sink and Fan Some extremely high-end PCs have liquid cooling systems which use tubes of flowing water or coolant instead of or in addition to cooling fans. These systems are more effective, quieter, and more efficient than air cooling systems. However, they are complex, expensive, and carry the danger of a coolant leak which can damage the system. Poor a typical EPIC air cooling systems are sufficiently effective. K Memory Random Access Memory, or RAM, is the part Of the computer where information is stored while it is being used by the computers processor, operating system, programs, and Other devices on your computer. RAM is designed so that any of the information stored on it can be read in any order without losing performance. This makes RAM faster and more efficient to store data compared to slower devices such as an HAD or CD-ROOM. Computer Memory When you are using your computer it copies information that it is currently using, such as parts of the operating system or currently running programs, into RAM so that it can work faster. The more RAM that the computer has, the less often it needs to get information off of the much slower HAD, To use a comparison, think of your HAD as well. The intonation on the HAD is the water in the well, ND the RAM is a bucket. The bigger your bucket, the fewer trips you have to make to the well to get the water you need One characteristic to RAM is that it is volatile. This means that when you turn off the computer, any information in the RAM is erased. To protect against loss of information, an operating system will copy any data that it needs to the HAD so that it is available the next time you start the computer. RAM comes in different speeds and types. When you upgrade your computers memory, it is important that you ensure that you choose a speed and type of RAM that is compatible with a computers dartboard. A great tool for finding out what kind of memory your computer uses is Crucial Memory Advisory. * Expansion Cards An expansion card is a device that is inserted into special slots on the motherboard and provides the computer with additional functions, resources, or features. There are a number Of different kinds of expansion cards available; two of the most common being video cards, which provide increased graphics processing ability, and sound cards, Which enhance the audio ability Of the computer. Some expansion cards such as video cards also include their own receptors, memory, and even cooling devices such as fans or heat sinks. When purchasing expansion cards there are a number of important factors to consider. First and foremost is the type of connection that the expansion card requires. There are a number of different standards for expansion slots, and motherboards have only a limited number of each kind of slot. Before purchasing you need to ensure that your motherboard has the required slots available for use. Another important factor is the size tooth expansion card. The card needs to be able to fit inside your computer case, and should not make intact with any other parts of the computer except for the motherboard. Finally, you should ensure that your US can output enough power to support all your connected expansion cards. If the US cannot supply the computer with enough electricity then one or more of your devices will fail to function. Two common types of expansion cards are sound and video graphic cards k Sound Cards Sound cards are a kind of expansion card which deals with audio input and output. Sound cards generally fill two functions. First, sound cards enhance the sound processing capability of the computer, allowing for the creation and output of more complex sounds. Secondly, sound cards often possess input and output ports that allow for Other audio devices such as microphones or speakers to be connected to it. Sound Card * Video Cards A video card is a type of expansion card which increases the computers ability to handle different kinds of visual output. Video cards have two main functions. First, while nearly all modern motherboards have some basic graphics capabilities built in, a video card can handle graphics issues much more effectively than the graphic chips built into the motherboard. As a result, a video rd allows for the creation and display to more complex and detailed images without putting an additional strain on the CAP, Additionally, since many video cards have their own memory, this leaves more tooth general computer memory available for other purposes. Second, many video cards add additional functions to the computer such as video capture, a TV-tuner which allows you to watch TV on your computer, or the ability to connect multiple monitors to the computer, Video Graphics Card * External ports As mentioned above in the motherboard section, a number of connectors on he motherboard are accessible from the back panel of the computer case. These connections are called external ports because they can be accessed from outside the computer case. There are a number Of different kinds Of connections available that include: *VGA or DVD Connector- These ports are used for connecting a monitor or Other display device to your computer. * Ethernet Port This port allows you to connect your computer to a N.B.,fork or the Internet. * HID Allows you to connect your computer a High Definition display or TV. * seats These ports allow you to connect an external SAT hard drive to LIST Port . A common connector for external devices. More your computer. Information about LIST ports can be found below. External Ports on the back of a computer Virtually every modern PC also includes one or more CIFS, or Universal Serial Bus, ports. There are two primary kinds of USB ports in use right now: USB 2. 0 and LIST 3. 0. LIST 3. 0 ports can move data much more quickly than LIST 2. 0 ports. However, the connected device must he designed to take advantage of USB technology in order to use the increased speed. LIST ports and devices are both backwards and forwards compatible. This means that you can plug any standard LIST device into any standard LIST port, and the device will function.

Persuasive Essay Topics - How to Write a Persuasive Essay Topic Using the BCE Technique
Persuasive Essay Topics - How to Write a Persuasive Essay Topic Using the BCE TechniquePersuasive essay topics can be a challenge, but if you know the basics, you can succeed with your writing. The point of a persuasive essay is to persuade the reader, not necessarily convince him that you are right. In fact, you don't have to convince him - the purpose of your essay is simply to persuade the reader and get him to read what you have to say.To accomplish this, you need to understand the concept of a persuasive essay, as this will determine whether or not your essay is successful. The basic concept of a persuasive essay is that your reader has to take you seriously in order for you to persuade him to do anything. Persuasive essay topics are a large subject, but if you study them closely, you can be sure to successfully write a persuasive essay on any topic. Most of the time, when you use techniques like the BCE, a persuasive essay topic is easier to write. You will also have more opport unities to use these techniques. Since you are able to use these techniques, you are less likely to be laughed at by others for trying too hard. There are other types of techniques that can be used to create persuasive essays, but the BCE is one of the most popular. With this technique, you are able to take something simple and change it into something complex. You will then be able to persuade the reader that you have a deeper understanding of the subject than the writer of the piece he is responding to.To illustrate the effectiveness of the BCE, consider how you might convince someone, 'Reading is the most important thing' they should do in their life. Instead of telling the person how to read or what type of reading they should be doing, you would use the BCE technique by saying that if they want to know more about reading, they should go online. In this case, you could say, 'The Internet has made learning about reading easy. Learning is fun and it is an educational process that h ave many benefits.'The premise of the BCE is that if you say something enough times, people will become comfortable and be less likely to argue with you. If they are comfortable with you, they will be more willing to listen to you. They will be more likely to follow your advice. As you can see, by using the BCE, you are able to increase the chances of persuading the reader to be more open-minded.The main question you should ask yourself before you start using the BCE is, 'Is the argument I am trying to make a good one?' If the answer is no, you should use another technique to push your argument forward.Remember, the BCE is just one of the many persuasive essay topics you will encounter. It is a great tool to use, but it is not the only tool you should use. When you are looking for more persuasive essay topics, you will find that there are a lot of them, so you should always ask yourself what specific words you are looking for.
